September 23, 2005 ! ! ! SYSTEM ALERT ! ! ! The system will be taken offline on Saturday, October 1, 2005, at approximately 8:00 a.m. The new Aerospace Medical Certification Subsystem will be available on Monday, October 3, 2005 at approximately 8:00 a.m.
July 15, 2005 ! ! ! SYSTEM ALERT ! ! ! Due to renovation work at the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute, AMCS will be unavailable from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

July 5, 2005 ! ! ! SYSTEM ALERT ! ! ! Due to a failure of the cooling system in the server room,
the AMCS website was unavailable beginning Sunday, July 3. Services were restored late Tuesday afteroon on July 5.

AMCS website will be unavailable for a period of approximately 30 minutes between the times
of 5:30 a.m. through 6:30 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday, May 17, 2005. We apologize for any inconvenience

05/11/2005: Originally posted 05/05/2005- As some of you already know, there was a batch of FAA 8500-8 forms distributed last year that were flawed. (See the Notice originally posted in August 2004 located in our Notice Archives for more information) The Education Division has now received a supply of forms the manufacturer has corrected. Some of the flawed forms are still unused. The form numbers of the remaining flawed forms are FF2864000 - FF4363999. Due to ongoing negotions with the manufacturer of these forms, we ask that if you are an AME who received a set of flawed forms and still have a supply that is unused (form numbers FF2864000 - FF4363999), please destroy them. If you have any questions or you need to order a new supply of FAA Form 8500-8, you may contact Gail Gentry in the Education Division at (405) 954-4831.

05/05/2005: Originally posted 08/2004- ATTENTION: The last issue of FAA Form 8500-8 received from the printer were flawed. The shadow print (watermark that says "FAA Original Copy", "AME Work Copy", and "Applicant Copy") blocks some of the print on the form. New forms are on their way, and will be recieved shortly. When the new forms are received, the flawed forms will no longer be sent. If you have recieved the flawed forms, please use them as you normally would.
