05/20/2003: ! ! ! SYSTEM ALERT ! ! ! Originally posted 05/20/2003-The DIWS/AMCS database is scheduled to undergo hardware and software upgrades over the Memorial Day weekend. This upgrade will provide greater reliability and data security. The upgrade will begin on Friday, May 23, 2003 at 4:00PM(CDT) and will be complete by Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 7:00AM(CDT). DIWS/AMCS will not be available during these times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your patience.

04/22/2003: ! ! ! SYSTEM ALERT ! ! ! Originally posted 04/22/2003-ATTENTION! A problem has been encountered with the AMCS/DIWS server. The server has been taken down to address this issue. You will not be able to transmit while the server is off line. Access to the AMCS/DIWS server should be restored by 11:00 a.m. (CST). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you or your staff.
04/09/2003: Please Note: A new version of AMCS/DIWS has been released. The new version of AMCS/DIWS will address the following items:
- AMCS/DIWS will now compare Items 1 (Applying For) and 62 (Certificate Status). If these two items do not match, a warning message will be displayed. You may change either Item 1 or Item 62 if necessary,or if they are indeed correct, continue past the warning.
- A new limitation "Not valid for any class after" was added in early December to the list of limitations available on the certificate at the end of the exam. However, there was not a way for users to add an expiration date. This caused several problems on our system in Oklahoma City. We now have removed the limitation "Not valid for any class after". If you have been instructed to use a time-limited restriction, please choose (as in the past) "Miscellaneous restriction assigned" and note the time limit in Item 60.
- Added a 'Warning' to the initial page that the "Process Selection" button should not be clicked more than once. Pressing the "Process Selection" button more than once creates multiple pending records under your AME number for that airman.

We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible, but you may experience sporadic problems. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you or your staff.
