Stable observation time reduced for several antidepressants from 6 to 3 months. New protocols for Diabetes, Migraine Medications (including Zofran) and no fly time reduced for some headache medications to 48 hours. New Vaccines added to safe-to-fly list.

AME Updates Dec 2025

  • Revised Antidepressant/SSRI protocol decreasing time stable on medication from 6 months to 3 months.
  • Revised Protocol for Diabetes Mellitus Type I or Type II Insulin Treated - CGM Option section B. Initial Certificate Consideration Requirements.  Expanded allowed GMI and CoV values. 
  • Revised Migraine Medication pharmacy page to include Zofran.  Standardized no fly time after CGRP and longer acting triptans to 48 hours.
  • Revised Vaccines Pharmacy added MMR and Chikungunya vaccines with no required no fly time.
This is great news - some previously VERY CONSERVATIVE rules are being loosened.
